The Duffus Website
This page is presented in
memory of David Duffus, author of the Duffus website. |
I met David in 1996, when we were in Edinburgh. We had hoped to have met at the Duffus Castle, but didn't make it. Over the years I was able to contribute more Duffus information to add to the thousand pages of information which he had accumulated and put on-line. He went on to organise a Duffus reunion in 2000 at Duffus Castle, which sadly I could not attend - it's a long way from New Zealand!
Hopefully someone in the Duffus family will reactivate the website, it would be a horrible shame to see all that work completely disappear. I've been able to recreate just a few of the pages, as a tribute to David.
Genealogy is one of those things that I want to get into, but don't have time. So by the time I do have time, I will be retired & so many of the people I need to talk to won't be around any more...

To all friends of David Duffus:
Our brother passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, Jan. 3, 2005. Below is
the notice from the local newspaper, which hardly does his life justice. We
don't know the future of David's web site <www.duffus.com> at this time,
and we suggest that if you can, download any information, text or images you
find important.
